Here is a little more about Cherie: Equipped with a wealth of experience in hospitality, organisational culture and leading large teams, Cherie co-founded one of the first start-ups in Airbnb management service that operated in 6 countries with over 2500 properties, delivering £60m+ to homeowners within 4 years. As a business consultant and international speaker, she empowers small and medium-sized organisations, entrepreneurs and students to achieve exponential results through one-on-one strategy and workshops, turning business into empires.
Her first business was when she was 8 years old selling a 'self-published' comic book to the 50 girls in her class in Hong Kong. Note that this was pre-internet age, fax machines have just arrived, she is not artistic and there was zero capital. That was her first taste of what collaboration can do - she asked a friend who loved drawing to do some comic strips and sold the vision of what this comic book could achieve to another friend, whose father works at an office with a photocopier! Voilà!
Connecting people with the right skills and resources to work together towards something bigger is in her bones. Born in Hong Kong and raised in the north of England, Cherie speaks 4 languages and is a cultural 'mix bag'. Her favourite comfort food is the Indian home classic, 'Tadka Dal'.
She holds several passports but no driving licence. She is a rebel against the standard education system (and the Asian mentality of ‘you need another Masters’), choosing to live and breathe her motto, #CarveYourPath - create the future you want with what you have, wherever you are.
