An Invite for our 2018 EXPO, Hospitality and Retail Management and our very own Hospitality Dragons Den

 
One guest speaker, five dragons, 70 students, 11 teams one happy cohort! 

 Final year undergraduate students studying the BSc International Hospitality Management were joined by Steve Lowy CEO Umi Digital who gave an inspiring speech about working in the hospitality industry before our very own Dragons Den.  We were joined by four more dragons Bob Hopkins CEO at Business SATNAV ltd,  Dr Claire Weeden Principal Lecturer, Jennifer Wells and Judith Badger both Enterprise Managers at our University.   

The Dragons delivered amazing advice and feedback to eleven hospitality management teams delivering an elevator pitch for their own innovative hospitality concept and solution.

Dr Ioannis  S. Pantelidis, module leader said: “this was part of a formative assessment and our best yet HH600 Dragons Den! We have been running the dragons den for more than five years but we never had such a wealth of experience in the den before. To have industry and academia colleagues give their time so willingly is very inspiring both to our students and our colleagues who work hard to put activities like this together”.

The Dragons Den is only a small part of the preparations for a student-led EXPO which takes place on the 16^th of January in Greynore Hall, Darley Road.   

We would like to invite you to join us on the 16th of January from 3pm  to 5pm, at Greynore Hall (Eastbourne, Darley Road site) we will be joined by students from the BA Retail Management who will also bring their posters. We shall also exhibit posters created by students from the MSc International Hospitality Management so this promises to be an incredibly creative EXPO, DO NOT MISS IT!
