Hospitality Management Academics win the CHME SHARE Teaching Innovation Award

I feel really proud to have worked with Colleague Ken Woodward and Peter Odgers on this project,  (menumuseum.eu )we do miss Ken now that he  in enjoying life in retirement but it was great to see one of our projects recognised just before he retired.

Our team at the University of Brighton won an award that recognise innovation and excellence in hospitality management education. The award was sponsored by The Council of Hospitality Management Education executive, in association with SHARE Centre . The hospitality management team at the school of sport and service management school received the award for their efforts with the menumuseum.eu project. The project is a combined, research facilitating archive and interactive teaching tool.  We originally collected over 500 menus which became part of this online archive. Users can also upload their own menus and so the archive grows as is utilised by academics in the University of Brighton and other higher education institutions. The Menu Museum (http://menumuseum.eu/ ) is an interactive online menu archive that facilitates research and teaching in menu design, pricing and food and beverage trends.
