Solar water and sausages! Visit us at Holywell, 23rd July, 11am.

We are almost completing the Solar Cooker series of experiments with one last experiment left on the 23rd of July.  So wish us luck and lots of Sun this coming Monday, it has been a crazy Summer with minimal Sun, and in honour of one of the most wet summers I have ever seen I decided to take the Solar Cooker for a spin to see if I can bring one litre of  water to boiling temperatures in under 30 minutes... under seriously overcast conditions...

The sky was so cloudy that I failed miserably and only managed to bring the water up by 20 degrees Celcius in 29minutes and as I had another meeting to go to, I couldn't stay longer to see how long before we got a boiling temperature...

Still we had a few Still shots from our solar sausage (stage 3) experiment so I added those in the mix for this video to uplift my spirits and not get demotivated by the recent water boiling failure...

So if you are around Eastbourne on the 23rd of July, from 11am to 1pm we will be near the Holywell area, come and say hello and try a solar sausage or two and let us know what you think!  But for a better description of the events you may wish to read this article by Cobb PR, they do a much better job describing our research efforts than I!
