I could not resist spreading the news when I found out that the Institute of Hospitality is offering online learning for free to anyone that wants it.I had to try a couple of those modules myself and I must say that although these are designed for students in mind, some modules will also be extremely useful to managers as a motive to block some time out of your busy schedule and test your knowledge. I think everyone will find the “managing your professional portfolio” and “information and research handling” very interesting modules.
I found the way information is presented refreshing and quick to follow, and I estimate it would take around an hour to complete one module. Although you could always break each session in 2 half hour parts (just make a note of the slide you last visited)
So what are you waiting for? The way education is going this will be one of the rare times you will find good learning for free. Click here and begin your learning.
Thanks, Ioannis! We put a year into these modules and we think it shows. They are specifically for hospitality and tourism students and professionals. I like the modules on Introduction to Professional Development in Hospitality and Tourism and the French Language Skills in Hospitality myself, particularly the audio support on every module. Makes it really interesting as do the various fun exercises.
